Angela Binnie, My Jersey

Ever since the beginning of 2003 when Angela moved to Jersey, she’s lived in the West of the island and the wooded area between the bays of St. Brelade and Ouaisne is one of her favourite spots.

Angela enjoys heading out and taking in spectacular scenery on a daily basis.

“I spent my childhood in a congested city so the sheer natural beauty of Jersey never fails to impress. Walking in Jersey is not only great exercise but enables me to see the best of our beautiful island and get some thinking space away from my busy role as a sales negotiator at Livingroom. My daughter also goes to school in St. Brelade and I feel proud that I can offer her an idyllic childhood, it’s pretty magical.”

The woods, cliff walks and beaches of St. Brelade provide a daily backdrop to Angela’s walks but they also act as a meeting point for friends in the summer and are a spot of natural beauty that it’s easy to gravitate towards.

It’s not all about walking though; Angela’s favourite island restaurant is the ever-brilliant Oyster Box in St. Brelade so her ideal weekend means she rarely leaves the stunning parish.
