The Channel Island estate agent won five-star awards for Real Estate Agency Single Office for both Guernsey and Jersey, and Real Estate Agency Marketing for the Channel Islands. Five-star awards are only given to the highest-scoring entrants in each category.
The International Property Awards are an annual awards programme held in different regions around the world, with regional winners going on to compete internationally. Livingroom will now go on to vie for regional awards before potential international success.
For the first time, this year’s award presentations were managed virtually, to comply with restrictions around the COVID-19 pandemic. Simon Torode, Livingroom Founder, CEO, reflected on the agency’s success.
“This is fantastic news to cap off what has been a quite remarkable year,” said Simon. “In the early days of March we, like all islanders, were worried about what the immediate future held. To have reached December with a record-breaking year is a hugely humbling and a testament to how hard my team has worked, as well as the government responses that allowed us to get back to work as quickly as we did.
“We’re proud to have won these national awards. This sends a strong message to our clients that the work we’re doing to market their properties is up there with the very best agencies in the UK and alongside prestigious brands with multiple offices and vast networks. It’s amazing for a small, independent, Channel Island-born agency to be recognised nationally and we’re looking forward to representing the islands when competing on an even greater stage.”
The awards are judged by a panel of 100 industry experts including the Past President of the Real Estate Federation UK & National Association of Estate Agents, the Global Property Standards Associate Director of RICS, the Chairman of the Guild of Property Professionals, Editor in Chief of International Property Magazine, national journalists, industry professionals and TV presenters.
