Local band Carl and the Converted and DJ Mike from the UK had locals swinging and jiving into the early hours of Liberation Day at the Best Western Royal Hotel.
Trotting out some steps from 1940s and ‘50s wasn’t the only motivation to attend; the event was raising funds for Liberate – the Channel Islands’ equality and diversity charity.
An incredible £2,777.26 was raised for the charity to help towards fulfilling their vision of an inclusive society where all citizens of the Channel Islands are accepted and treated equally.
The Livingroom Foundation was proud to support the event which lived up to our values of bringing people together and making a difference in the islands.
It was clear that those in attendance gained so much joy from the event, whether through the dancing, the music, the socialising – or all three!
A huge thanks and congratulations to the organisers for such a superb event. You can find out more about Liberate on their website.
