LIVINGROOM IS RECRUITING FOR AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK TO JOIN THEIR FAST PACED JERSEY TEAM.


We work hard in a team-based culture to achieve exceptional results, with industry-leading technology and award-winning marketing strategies. The role of Accounts Payable involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the Finance Director and the organisation. The role is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.

This role is a Zero Hours Contract, working from home, 7 hours per week (either one day of 7 hours or two days of 3.5 hours) and to provide ad-hoc cover during school term holidays.

Responsible to: CEO, Directors, Management, 
Department: Accounts/Finance 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Keeping track of payments and expenditure
  • Receiving and recording the receipt of invoices
  • Processing invoices to make sure payments are correct and on time.
  • Matching and filing invoices and receipts
  • Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
  • Development and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets
  • Assisting with audit support as necessary
  • Expense report handling
  • Working closely with the Finance Director
  • Provide appropriate cover for the Finance Director during school term holidays
  • Provide the highest level of service to our clients

Experience Required:

As an Accounts Payable Clerk you will be expected to have experience of:-

  • Good organisational skills, including the ability to work independently and prioritise
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, for building strong relationships with suppliers and business partners
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Mathematics and numeracy for reconciling invoices and identifying areas of concern
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Knowledge of Quick-Books or other professional accounting softwear tools
  • Data entry for accurately processing invoices and payments
  • Experience of working as part of a team, working efficiently and effectively to support and meeting the objectives and targets of the business.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
